This article shows administrators how to add/update help text on fields in the system.
Help text appears next to field labels to help guide users with data entry.
Adding/Updating Help Text to a Field
To access and add/update help text on fields for standard objects:
- Access the Setup Menu via the dropdown list at the top of the interface.
- Search for "object" using the Quick Find field and click into the Object Manager. Select the object that you'd like to update from the list.
- Scroll down to the Fields and click the arrow icon to select Edit for the selected field.
When you've accessed the field that you'd like to update, add your Help Text and click Save to complete the update.
