This article explores the Chatter section that is associated to records in Salesforce. Every record in Salesforce has the capability for users to record and view a feed that relates to the selected record.



To access the Chatter Feed for a particular record, click into the record in and navigate to the Chatter section.

In the Chatter section of the record you can view the Chatter history, which includes updates and previous posts related to the selected record. You also have options to collaborate with Salesforce users by adding:

  • Post - record a comment about the record. This is useful for collaborating with other Salesforce users.
  • Poll - create a poll related to the record to gather information from other Salesforce users.
  • Question - add a question related to the Salesforce Record.
